Seminar Availability and Teaching Methods

Seminars are open to all dentists. Enrollment is limited to 12 participants in each seminar. Seminar instructional methods include lecture, hands on exercises, and live or pre-recorded treatment demonstrations.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for each seminar is $3,380. A deposit of 50% of the registration fee is required to reserve your place in the seminar. The balance is due 21 days prior to the seminar starts date.

What's Included

Instruction, facility, manuals, materials, local transportation, continential breakfasts, refreshments, lunches, Friday group dinner. Please contact our office for group rate on hotel accommodations.

Each 2-1/2 day seminars begins Thursday at 1:00 PM and ends Saturday at 5:00 PM.

Refunds & Cancellations

All seminars are refundable up to 45 days prior to the seminar date, less a $100 processing fee. Cancellations 45 days or less prior to the seminar date, fees are refunded at 50%. For cancellations 7 days or less prior to the seminar date, 100% of fees are forfeited. Fees paid may be transferred to a future available seminar within 12 months, one time only per participant. Dr. Brodine reserves the right to cancel or reschedule seminars with advance notification to the participants. In such event, seminar fees will be refunded in full, or transferred to a future date at the participant's discretion. Submission of a registration form serves as acknowledgement and understanding of this policy by the registrant.

Faculty

Alan Brodine, DMD

Alan Brodine, DMD, became a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics in 1991. Dr. Brodine’s current academic appointments include The University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center Prosthodontic Residency Clinical Assistant Professor, Wilford Hall United States Air Force Medical Center Prosthodontic Residency Consultant, and the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio Prosthodontic Residency Consultant. Dr. Brodine has made more than 90 invited presentations at numerous national and international venues and is also a published author in the Journal of Prosthodontic Dentistry. His clinical experience includes a general practice residency and four additional years of general practice in the United States Army from 1981-1986. Dr. Brodine has maintained a private practice limited to prosthodontics in Rochester, N.Y., since 1988. In addition, Dr. Brodine formed Brodine Prosthodontic Seminars in 2003 to help dentists master specific prosthodontic and dental implant skills.

John Moriarty, DDS, MS

Dr. Moriarty is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontology at the University of North Carolina. His continuous association with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill began in the mid-1960s and resulted in a BS in Bacteriology, a DDS in 1975, and an MS with a certificate in Periodontics in 1977. Dr. Moriarty became a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology in 1983. He maintained a clinical practice in the Dental Faculty Practice for 28 years. Dr. Moriarty has won multiple teaching awards at UNC. He served as the Director of the Undergraduate Program in Periodontics for 20 years. He served as the Director of the Dental Implant Program for the School of Dentistry from 1998 through his partial retirement in 2005. He is currently the Vice-Chair for the Education Committee of the American Academy of Periodontology. Presently, he practices two days per week in Cary, N.C. Dr. Moriarty receives financial support for instructing this course from Astra Tech Dental. Dr. Moriarty is an instructor for the seminar entitled “Surgical Review of Implant Dentistry” for Brodine Prosthodontic Seminars.
